i am having issues with my railcraft tanks losing all their fluids when the chunks unload and then reload. why does this happen and is there something i can do about it. a 7x7x7 railcraft tank full of water will suddenly have little or no water left in it if i walk away from that chunk and then walk back.

Please make sure that the tanks are not crossing chunkborders.

If you do want them to intersect chunks, make sure to gold-block chunkload them. But i have to agree with Sandstroem. Try building them in 1 chunk.

This is due to the way chunks are loaded and unloaded, you'd experience a similar phenomenon with big rectors losing their fuel, some mekanism structures. You can press F9 twice to get an excellent visual on the chunk boundaries.
