Hello. I just noticed that my Steeltank from railcraft with creosite oil suddenly is completly empty. Even the mechanical pipes of mekanism which puts the oil towards my carpenter are empty. So all creosite oil but the one in the carpenter suddenly vanished into nothing. Anyone knows if that is a known issue with railcraft tanks in multiplayer and I should better use mekanism dynamic tanks for that? (or in general better not use any multiblock-tanks here? :/)
Multiblocks crossing chunkboards tend to cause such issues on chunk load. Is this the case? (F9 for chunk grid) If drums exist I would recommend a drum which is one block, cheap and can be upgrade later on.
No, I made sure they're all in one chunk (was worried if they act up cause of the chunk-slowdowns if I build them across a border). Sadly no drums, only the alot smaller tanks from mariculture or mekanism. If it happens again I guess I will try the dynamic tank, if it happens with it, too, I will find another way with smaller tanks. Weird thing was, that even the mekanism mechanical pipes were empty (the ones that are between the tank and the carpenter) so maybe the pipes might be the problem, will change them into BC-liquid pipes next time I play.
I have to say I haven't heard about any similar issues with railcraft tanks. All those empty liquid stuff is mainly around big rectors but I'm not aware of any pre circumstances with railcraft tanks.
It seems that the mechanical pipes of mekanism were the culprit. This time only about 10'000 of my oil was missing (just the amount that fits into the pipes). Changed them to buildcraft fluid pipes now. (Since before I hardly looked at the tank, I guess the pipes drained it again and again so it looked like the tank itself deleted the oil when I finally noticed it) Weirdly enough another "something went missing" happened to me though. My "Dense Energy Cell" from my AE network was completly drained when I logged back in. When I logged off it was full and my power-system (wind turbines and advanced solar generators) are usually enough to keep my power running without a problem. [edit] I'm putting this on "solved". Since I switched to the BC-fluid-pipes I lost no more oil. Seems the mechanical-pipes of mekanism kinda has issues where it empties it's own inventory, so I guess not to be used in places where there is constantly something inside. The issue with the dense-energy-cell seems to be, that my powersystem just breaks down easilly cause it's spread over some chunks and my AE system drains it just really quickly ^^"
