Regrowth - Personal Anchor and Duration

    Hello,

    I wonder - seen on that the personal anchor only works with netherstars in the modpack - if the duration per Netherstar couldn't be increased a bit. At the moment it seems 90 real-time-minutes per netherstar.
    And with the extreme slowdown on every chunk you're not standing in yourself it's almost impossible to 'not' use the anchor for a working base, unless you make a 1-chunk-base (which is really difficult seen on things like witchery needing quiet alot of space to fully work)
    So at the moment it's pretty much, that you need to kill at least 1 wither every 90 minutes for any bigger base to actually do it's work properly.

    I don't know if the anchor works cross-dimension (so you could set a automation for wither-killing while you're not even in the nether after it's activated) but before you get to the point of completly automating it, the 90 minutes are kinda really a short time. (especially when you're kinda forced to use the anchor because of fps-drops caused by cross-chunk pipes/cables)

    try to automate nether stars, maybe that will help ;), and btw do you mean TPS drops not FPS drops?

    FPS-drops. When my anchor is not active my fps drop extremly in some chunks. Not sure 'which' pipes/cables it causes, but it all started after I setup my tier 2 (trippling) machines for mekanism.

    O.O fps drops... no idea why, but either way you should really try automating withers, it's fun

    Most people always say "Don't build in the nether, it sometimes gets reset". Since I never know when that happens... I still try to put as less worthy things in there as possible. ^^"
    (especially since you would need golems and a witchery-altar setup to fully automate it in regrowth if I understood it right)

    you will be warned a week in advanced, and you don't need either of those lol

    Well I'm not that good with full-automation, I'm usually a semi-automating-player. So only automating the most annoying stuff and the rest I do myself.
    So not sure about all the "Place the wither-blocks to summon it"-mechanics of all the different mods. Only heard about the witchery-ritual for it yet.

    i'm fairly certain there are ones, and witchery doesn't exactly do it, it's complex

    Well I only know the most common ones you find in youtube (often with frames and such stuff) which is almost everything not in the regrowth-pack.
    But anyways it changes nothing about my suggestion :D
    90 Minutes for a netherstar is quiet a short time, especially when you're not yet at the point where you maybe can fully automate it.

    i automated nether stars with botania, thaumcraft, and AE, (and a little bit of mystcraft but thats not required, blood magic also works), so what are you talking about?

    As I mentioned: I'm not one of the people who knows everything about every mod and how you do stuff with the mods.
    So all I can do is trying to google for the solutions I try to find. If you know about many possible ways... not everyone knows them and it can be hard to find tutorials for that.

    Botania has a flower that can kill mobs and another that can pick up items, Thaumcraft has ways to make blocks unbreakable and I assume he's using AE for the creation of the wither, although Thaumcraft or Botania could be used with a little thought.
