Regrowth UHC is LIVE!

We at MyM are proud to announce a whole new experience coming to the MyM Network! As of now, there is a new PvP/Raiding/Griefing server based on the pack Regrowth by ThePhoenixLodge. Not only is it PvP but some config settings have been changed to make the game more difficult and fun.

Features:

• Agricraft: Weeds enabled, increased farming difficulty and a stat divisor of 3.
• Spawn: Protected spawn area at x:0 z:0 where PvP is disabled. Once you leave you can't come back!
• World Resets: Monthly resets of all dimensions other than the Overworld and Nether
• PvP: No Claims, No Rules, No Combat-Logging(you will die for leaving during a fight)
• Fair Game: No donator perms(Other than AFK kick and spawner change) and No minimaps(kick on join if any unknown mods are detected!)
• Extra Mods: Some mods may be added to the server to help enhance the gameplay a bit and give it something more to offer than regular Regrowth.

Is this to be found in the Mym launcher or can I join directly by loading regrowth and using the IP?

 

It is on the MyM launcher and its probably best to use the UHC pack. It will later be updated to include other mods which normal regrowth won't have. Also it makes sure that all the mods are compatible with the server, since certain mods are not allowed.

 

That's sad that donators dont have any perks ;(. They still have the kits?

 

Nope. Wanna make it a fair game since its PvP. Wouldn't be right to give an advantage.

No claims and no protections. It's a free for all.

 

I think we should consider adding the factions plugin so there is at least "some" protection

 

Personally I prefer the anarchy approach but that is just one man's opinion.

 

yep until your about 3 weeks in and the top 10% own the map just like Crackpack

 

My biggest problem with factions is that you can be 100% safe at all times. As long as you stay in your claim with doors and such no one can get in and you can farm away, build up your arsenal and then everyone ends up fighting only on their own terms.

 

I kind of like the idea of people needing to hide their bases instead of making them a safe place

 

On the other hand, you progress in questbook, evolve with every hour spent and all of a sudden some1 shows up and you stay with nothing. So so sad. First few days? Who cares. When you get more and more stuff? So painful.

 

hey hey hey, only 1 team owned the map, and then there was me alpha bitw and leo and the rest of us... we kept getting raided by them but got to the point of insanity with everything where @leoj888 (he should be 888leoj but...) made an insane ammount of kami armor

 

I dont think raiding is a good idea. PvP Maybe, dropping your items maybe, increasing difficulty maybe, but raiding is dumb and will scare off most people.

the team that owned the map used an exploit to become unraidable
and we got to EG what 7, 8 times

 

I'll see if we can get a command to reset the questbook. Should help fix that problem.

MyM offers Regrowth as a regular pack and as anarchy so if PvP is not your style then there is another option as well.

 

Im just predicting it will be wildly unpopular, for the same reason a BnB pvp anarchy server would have been.
