I've been trying to increase my render distance, I'll put my render distance up to 10 or even 20 but it doesn't actually increase and I'll still see around only 4-5 chunks ahead of me. Is the render distance set by the server at a certain limit..?
Yes, most minecraft servers have a render limit lower than that of the client, and this is especially true with modded servers.
