Hello, I'm new to the community here and have started playing on CL2, though I noticed the quest books keeps resetting. On a Agrarian Skies server I used to play on the same thing would happen and they explained to us that the quest parties was the reason it resets. Apparently the mod can only handle a certain about of parties before it resets it's self. I hope this bit of information can help make the server more fun, I know I've started to ignore the quest book due to the resets. :)

I would like them to stay active personally so that me and my friends can play together and progress the quests while one of us is offline, but if it causes issues then disabling it might be the best idea.

I haven't looked into the problem personally but I'm sure some of the other members of the community could give us a proper explanation.

    Unfortunately, yes.

Quest books do get reset a lot of the times due to parties.
Although this is a problem, I can't see parties being disabled, due to a lot of players get mad and upset that they can't exactly play with their friends like they could do the last time.

It would completely upset the community, and unbalance a lot of things,
    regarding gameplay exclusively.

I wasn't aware of the issue myself, so I asked a few other staff members on the issue, and 2 replied with - Yes, is the simple answer.
therefore meaning, there are obviously a lot more complications around the matter of Quest book resets.

mhh, I don't think the number of parties are the problem. As far as I know are they stored with 10 bit which would mean 1024 parties. From what I can tell and think it is an encoding issue. e.g. Cyrillic or special characters not being saved/loaded correctly.
