Hello, I would assume others would have already made a post similar to this or contacted someone about the current latency issues on the server. I logged into direwolf20 as well as the Infinity Evolved servers and there seems to be quite a bit of latency in the server. I do not know if this is community servers wide or just isolated to a few but I wanted to get let you all know in the event someone else did not inform you. Have a nice day, -Xavidram
I assume you are checking for packet loss. Want me to just run ping with a server ip?[DOUBLEPOST=1449729847][/DOUBLEPOST]C:\Users\xavidram>ping direwolf.mineyourmind.net Pinging direwolf.mineyourmind.net [178.63.3.198] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 178.63.3.198: bytes=32 time=153ms TTL=38 Reply from 178.63.3.198: bytes=32 time=153ms TTL=38 Reply from 178.63.3.198: bytes=32 time=156ms TTL=38 Reply from 178.63.3.198: bytes=32 time=154ms TTL=38 Ping statistics for 178.63.3.198: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 153ms, Maximum = 156ms, Average = 154ms[DOUBLEPOST=1449730030][/DOUBLEPOST]here is a tracert Tracing route to direwolf.mineyourmind.net [178.63.3.198] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 35 ms 15 ms 10 ms cpe-70-115-64-1.rgv.res.rr.com [70.115.64.1] 3 31 ms 30 ms 31 ms tge0-0-9.edbgtx1101h.texas.rr.com [66.68.193.217] 4 16 ms 18 ms 14 ms agg24.phrrtxgy01r.texas.rr.com [24.175.56.130] 5 29 ms 28 ms 27 ms agg26.dllatxl301r.texas.rr.com [24.175.56.72] 6 24 ms 30 ms 30 ms bu-ether14.dllstx976iw-bcr00.tbone.rr.com [66.109.6.88] 7 32 ms 27 ms 36 ms 0.ae4.pr1.dfw10.tbone.rr.com [107.14.19.97] 8 27 ms 27 ms 27 ms ix-23-0.tcore2.DT8-Dallas.as6453.net [66.110.57.97] 9 148 ms 148 ms * if-2-2.tcore1.DT8-Dallas.as6453.net [66.110.56.5] 10 140 ms 141 ms 138 ms if-10-3.tcore1.AEQ-Ashburn.as6453.net [66.198.154.117] 11 146 ms 149 ms 146 ms if-2-2.tcore2.AEQ-Ashburn.as6453.net [216.6.87.1] 12 143 ms 143 ms 141 ms if-10-2.tcore1.L78-London.as6453.net [216.6.87.105] 13 142 ms 138 ms 139 ms if-2-2.tcore2.L78-London.as6453.net [80.231.131.1] 14 142 ms 142 ms 142 ms if-8-2.tcore2.AV2-Amsterdam.as6453.net [80.231.131.6] 15 141 ms 144 ms 144 ms if-2-2.tcore1.AV2-Amsterdam.as6453.net [195.219.194.5] 16 137 ms 141 ms 138 ms if-6-4.tcore1.FNM-Frankfurt.as6453.net [195.219.156.61] 17 139 ms 136 ms 140 ms if-7-2.tcore1.FR0-Frankfurt.as6453.net [195.219.50.1] 18 150 ms 148 ms 149 ms 195.219.219.10 19 156 ms 154 ms 156 ms core21.hetzner.de [213.239.245.13] 20 151 ms 152 ms 150 ms juniper3.rz20.hetzner.de [213.239.245.230] 21 * * 155 ms hos-tr1.ex3k14.rz20.hetzner.de [213.239.203.2] 22 153 ms 155 ms 154 ms static.198.3.63.178.clients.your-server.de [178.63.3.198] Trace complete.
could you put it in a code block or on pastebin, it is hard to read this way. Also, does it look the same while you are on the server and how is the packet loss?
The reason I'm asking it to be run for a couple of minutes while on the server is that there might be a bandwidth cap, doing a simple trace route or ping wouldn't always show that. Anyways, if there is an issue with the connection we couldn't do much besides letting the isp know.
All good, i left my chunk area and went to spawn, then went home again and that seemed to fix the issue.
