When stacking any amount of iron even if its just one other ingot onto another on itll delete all iron except for the one original iron ingot. Its kinda massively game breaking.
I had the same happen with wool I made from magic crops. Did you make the iron with magic crops? Sometimes the product of essence is quite buggy.
Nope. Was just smelting iron ore in a normal cobblestone furnace. And When I shift clicked it or dragged it manually to stack onto ingots I have in my inventory already it just flat out deleted them. Also any iron that was smelted after the first initial ore was smelted was also deleted since a iron ingot already existed in the furnace. So I lost around a stack of iron before I knew what was happening.
Can you reproduce the bug and does it happen with other things too? Have you tried to reproduce it in singleplayer too?
I never had that when smelting, but you dont seem to be the first to have this bug. Does the iron have an odd ID/Sub ID? That's something I noticed when it happened to my wool.
Multiple people said they had the same thing happen at the time I made a big deal about it in chat. And no I've put no effort into trying to re-create it. I've gone to extreme lengths to prevent any chance of it again actually.
Just happened again when I was smelting nether quartz ore in a normal cobblestone furnace to get nether quartz. Also my Arcane worktables inventory rolled back while I left my crafting ingredients for a item in there to go recharge my wand to be able to make it. And it duplicated my crappy iron capped wand I leave in there as placeholder.
