I switched from Infinity (Node 5) to crackpack (Node 1) today and when I went to the market I was surprised to see that prices were a tenth of what they were on Infinity and also the UI and features are different. A Wither-Skeleton soul is 60 mym on crackpack while I sold one very quickly on Infinity for 600. Also why is the UI different? It has like a market safe and you don't do /market create. You go into the safe and create a listing.

Because people are inflating prices on infinity

    Because players set the price.

Its all about supply and demand and how badly someone needs something. If they need it right that very second they are going to be willing to pay more for it. Even simple things, like clay and wool, can sell for a good price because while they are not hard to get it can take forever to get the amount that you need otherwise and people don't like to wait.

That may be partially due to my fault. Every time I raise the prices people undercut me. So it forces me to down the prices exponentially...

ahh, just like the good old monster days when you could buy a stack of nether stars for 80 myms.... *cough* that's what happens when people with DSUs full of wither skulls want to compete on the market *cough*

I prefer player run trade markets for in game items instead of mym's.
