What does the mod do? It aims at fixing some bugs in witchery. Currently it only fixes that some distillery recipes aren't shown in NEI. Why would it be useful if that mod was whitelisted? Well, you can't use recipes if you don't know them ^^ Would this mod be required server-side? No idea, but I don't think so, as its only patch currently involves the client-side NEI screen. Link to the mod? Overview - WitcheryPatch - Mods - Projects - Minecraft CurseForge Anything else to say? No, I only speak to humans if unavoidable.
But do you speak to birds? *squawk* But yeah a client side mod should be fine because other client side mods are fine such as; Optifine, NEI and fastcraft
Nope, only mods that are whitelisted are fine, as there is the possibility of unfair gameplay in pvp servers etc if clientside modding was allowed
That's why you ban certain client modifications such as *COUGH* xray* *COUGH* but i dont see why the witchery NEI addon would be banned, you could say "it gives people an unfair advantage knowing how to do recipes" Well, that was the original argument to NEI, but if it is allowed and everyone can use it then it is fine (no unfair advantage that way), also cant you just use the witchery book for some of the kettle/distillery recipes? NOTE: can you add a poll for those against and those for this?
They show up in NEI, but there sometimes are more than one recipe on how to craft it in the distillery. If there are multiple ones, then only the first one is shown, this mod would fix that issue.
