Would like to see some Teamspeak support channels created for staff members use instead of having to create personal channels. Making personal channels is fine and all but sometimes players will jump in them and hang out even when you are on different servers as some players just like hanging out in channels staff are inside of. Would like to have locked support channels that only staff can enter while they play on the server waiting to support players with issues, Maybe the support channels can state to "poke or message staff if support is needed". This way when staff are contacted by a player they can be moved into the channel to get support and put back out when support has finished. I do not like to sound like I don't want players being in personal channels with staff but some players join the channels with no mic and spam chat, some even join never saying anything at all and just sit there and its rude for staff to ask them to leave the channel.
We already have way too many channels. Personal channels can have passwords and fill this role already. Naming a channel support then keeping players from it is rude imho if I was a player.
I like the idea of having a channel where members can go and wait for support. But those would need to poke online staff. Because we can't have them sit there and wait +5 minutes.
I think I understand both sides of the argument. Both what Lucid, and Lordicon are both saying. I as a player, who has no aspirations to ever be staff, can simply leave a channel or ask them to leave, if someone joins where I am, and starts spamming. I can sympathize with what Lordicon is saying, someone who joins my channel, begins spamming, and is a general nuisance, but because you are staff, it's considered "rude" for you to basically ask them to go away. I also think it is a great idea to have an idea for support, and if theres a way for staff to automatically receive a small poke that a player needs assistance? Not sure if thats possible. Also, understand what Lucid means, that it could be derived as rude very easily, and we do have a lot of channels. Not sure where I stand tbh, it's basically a flip coin. Understand both sides of the argument .
I was told that staff are allowed to have personal channels but not allowed to place a password on said channels so that players can join any time in order to receive support. Was I misinformed on this? I just don't want to be rude to players and ask them to leave my personal channel if they are just hanging out in there and do not need support.
