Thaumic Skies Server Reset

Thaumic skies has been around for nearly a year now I believe and it has some serious lag issues even when someone who's just starting is the only person online. Several people are unhappy with getting 3-5 second lag spikes every 5-10 seconds. Also at this very moment the server is actually timed out and noone can join. All the old bases from when the server first started up are still here and some are probably still chunkloaded. Please do a server reset.

 

No bases are chunkloaded from that time, most people left due to other reasons, the pack has a high rate of mob spawns which may be the issue though

 

Perhaps. Still needs a reset though. It hasn't been reset since it came out.

 

While you reasoning is flawed , your conclusion is not. it is most likely time for a reset. I'll make sure someone sees this who can make that decission.

I actually went back there last night and I have to agree with you, it is indeed time for a reset with no one active the TPS has noticeable dips, while I did my best to correct some of the issues.. I still don't feel comfortable saying the issues are resolved.

 

Before you reset it might be good to check what the status of the FTB release is.

Well the pack is still maintained by kindlich and there have been changes recently. Also I know that a FTB release was planned.

 

In addition to hopefully correcting the lag issues I have noticed when I attempted to play on the server, a restart could also serve handily to re-spark some interest in the Modpack.

 

I for one would probly join if it restarted

You should talk to Kindlich, SirWill and Slind. I know that the planned release on FTB got lost somewhere between them in their busy lifes.
Also @GamrMom had already done some nice artwork for the FTB forum thread.

Well the staff have a lot to work on and a pretty short notice server restart would probly be low priority. And i don't know much about it personally but I think there's more to it than clicking a restart button

@Sandstroem the artwork was done a long time ago and It was Slind who requested it for the FTB site. I'm pretty sure there wasn't more for me to do in that regard.


I'd play TS again if it was reset

 

Idk. The staff are busy with Direwolf20 1.10.2

 

Not trying to rush it, but any idea when this will be reset? Me and several others are just dying to play it.
