Earlier today I took a trip to tropicraft. I was very disappointed with my results. Most villages and islands were raided, and I didn't see a single animal. So, please, reset tropicraft.
This is not an easy task. Many people have built bases in that dimension and resetting it would not be nice for them.
how about give them a 3 week warning if not done by then well they can now just live in the overworld
Any guesses on exactly how many people live there? Of all the houses I've visited, I've yet to visit anyone with a house in the tropicraft dimension
This video is very apropos.. at this point I would have to take bids for the privilege of pushing the button.
^ There are lots of people that recently started out on the B team server. For that reason, I think it would make the most sense to hold a server-wide B team poll. If you create something on the forums, chances are you'll just get the input from people that have been here for a while now, and obviously most of them are pretty far in B team and will want a reset. The overworld is not completely trashed, in fact it's not even close to that point. As soon as a claim is removed due to a player being afk, the land is regenerated, and there are still numerous overworld areas that are 99% untouched, so clearly the claims themselves aren't a big issue. I don't think it's very fair to decide on behalf of the players that B team needs a reset when you've only discussed this adequately with a fraction of the B team playerbase. The only advantage to the restart is that all the rich people will be at the same level as the people that are much poorer, and the odd chunks of land that are actually ruined will be fixed, but as previously discussed, most of the land is still perfectly fine. If anyone actually wants to start from scratch, why can't they just throw everything away and restart their genetics? It isn't that difficult to do, and it wouldn't be a big challenge for them to find a new area to build in. Most of the players I've been interacting with lately along with myself joined within the last few weeks and have by no means reached anywhere near the end of B team.
I guess that's true. It wouldn't kill to have a reset for the over world. But, I still want to see my tropicraft reset.
^ Tropicraft, unlike the overworld, doesn't harbor tons of work in progress player bases. Unless I'm mistaken, the tropicraft universe doesn't take tons of work to reset, barely has anyone *doesn't have as many people living in it, and is actually damaged to a point requiring a reset, so why not just reset tropicraft for now?
If you have the time to and you don't mind, it may be a good idea to keep track of how many settlements are actually claimed / developed (not just a pile of rubble)
I actually did not find any above ground bases. The current online player base (at the time of writing this) also claim to not have a base in tropicraft, so a reset may not be as detrimental as we think.
