EDIT: USE /menu INSTEAD TO DISABLE GLOBAL CHAT! Hello again! This thread will teach you how to install TabbyChat2 into your instance, as well as show you how to make a filter. As the thread title states: This is for 1.10 only. We will not support you for installing this mod into the wrong minecraft version. Downloads: First you are going to need to download a few things. If you are using the MyM Launcher, the main thing (known as liteloader) should already be installed. I also will not tell you how to install LiteLoader, as that will not be needed for the majority of the users. How to install LiteLoader The two things you will need are TabbyChat2, and MnMUtils. Both can be downloaded at the links below. TabbyChat2 is found here MnMUtils is found here Installing the new LiteMods Once you have downloaded the items above, you need to install them. You can install them by navigating to the pack instance, and putting them in the "mods" folder. But Column, how do I find my Mods folder? I'm glad you asked. You can follow these steps to get to your mods folder: Press the Windows key and R. This will open up a "Run" Dialog box. Type in "appdata" and press enter. Then navigate to \Roaming\.mineyourmind\instances and select the 1.10 instance of your choosing. Now got to "minecraft" and copy the 2 litemods to your "mods" folder. Spoiler: Visual Guide PICK A 1.10 INSTANCE ONLY! Congratulations! You just installed TabbyChat2! Making a Filter This time, we are going to go into game to make this filter, as there is no guarenteeing what 1.10 will do with a cookie cutter filter that I make. At this stage, you need to load up your modpack of choosing. In this case, I chose Skyfactory 3. If liteloader complains about "dependencies", move "mod-tabbychat-2-2.1.2-mc1.10.2.litemod" to the "1.10" folder inside of the "mods" folder. Once you are loaded up, log into one of the 1.10 servers, and right click the little "x" on your chat window. Then click the "Server" tab. In here is where the magic happens. Press the "New" button at the bottom, then the "edit" button. Now make all the settings identical to the ones in the screenshot below, and click the "Done" button, and close the TabbyChat menu. Spoiler: How to make a new Filter Right Click the "x" Spoiler: Filter Settings You are done! This should filter out all of the Global chat from your chat window. If at any point it stops filtering, double check your settings again to make sure you still have the proper filter settings. If it still does not work, please post a screenshot of your settings, and tag me on the thread and I will attempt to figure out what is going on. Enjoy! PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I MISSED ANYTHING.
A setting via. /menu is available, now. Might be worth including this and changing it to "how to move it to its own tab".
