I think "Dude wheres my block" modpack would be a great Hard pack..as it has Amnesia which changes the recipes of all items every 5 minutes... now imagine "my head hurts, where am i" "oh pretty" *picks up flower* "it says poppy flower" "wonder what this does" *sticks in crafting grid* "holy moses diamonds" meanwhile Amnesia strikes again "what was i doing" *lightbulb...ding* "oh yeah this pretty poppy thing on the floor" *picks up flower* *inserts into crafting grid* "wow a chest i can store my stuff" now imagine every 5 minutes recipes change! chance of rubbish to endgame just on a poppy or even oak logs tho i must admit...getting end game stuff at the begining hampers things...as long as /feed /god is disabled for this mod...it could get pretty interesting...for even ppl who have access to kits... well making a iron chestplate wont give u the item...its random...so u could end up making a poppy haha!! *edited name of pack* got it wrong haha
That is the most ridiculous modpack idea I have ever seen. If you make it good, I'll play it. Please add a questbook that changes every 5 minutes.
lol nice .. but you say its normal world? i would like it as skyblock ,, cuz in normal world isnt too hard
I can't imagine this pack having any legs, this is more of a play for awhile and become frustrated and quit pack. Think of this as the Mario Party of mod packs, fun to play with your friends, but not something you are going to do alone all that often.
then u could incorparate this modpack for competition purposes....like make the best base...in the space of 12 hours...or something...or build a city with friends 2 weeks...
After fiddling with the pack for the better part of an hour I can say, sure it is interesting, but it can be down right frustrating as well. In the time I spent I was drowning in Angel Rings, but I had to raid a village for a crafting table. The recipes seem to change at random intervals as well so there is no way to truly predict how much of an item you need before a shift occurs. It also relies heavily on things that can be crammed into a 2x2 crafting grid to make which means making tools etc is all luck based as well.
Ok, I went to play this modpack, I say how hard it is to get wood but how easy it is to get random crap you will never use or your far from using it
I think that this concept could be a lot of fun to play. But I feel to have every item in 1 pool for what you can get makes it a short lived experience for a game. What I think would be cool is if items were placed into categories. (Example tools, machine, decoration blocks, wood stuff etc...) and what these categories would do is limit the kind of items you could get from the crafting recipe you are using. So if you made a wooden pickaxe you could get any kind of tool from that.
It may be possible to tweak it so that some basic recipes such as crafting tables and wooden/stone tools stay the same while other things are randomized.
Even with the modifications for tools/crafting tables... It sounds like it would end up getting very frustrating very fast.
thts the whole point...tho think of this as kappa for vanilla lol...the whole point of this modpack is to frustrate u...learn patience and it may get very rewarding
Except... It's a game. Mildly frustrating is one thing. Random grab bag for just about everything doesn't sound fun to me. I have patience for things that aren't totally random.
