For non-paying members I mean? EDIT: I should've posted this under the announcement. Well I can't delete and repost now.
When we were testing Divine Journey internally, a process that took months to complete, it was decided that it would be entirely too complex to have as a public pack without significant changes to it. Certain aspects like RFTools Builder being the only "easily" accessible quarry was the first issue we ran into. As you may know the Builder makes an amazing quarry, it will dig up and churn out an area in a few minutes.. while doing this it also says to heck with protections and claims too and bores right through them. On a patron based server this is much easier to track as the audience tends to be around twenty to thirty active players, vs a public pack that might have five times that amount. Next was an issue with the nature of the pack really being designed around single player, or a small team. To point out one example of this would be the progression of blood magic. In single player you'd have no problems running a mob farm over your altar using well of suffering to gain enough blood to progress. Imagine a server with thirty or forty players on at once with the mob farms required to advanced blood magic... you wouldn't enjoy it to say the least. Our hamsters running the servers actually signed a petition at the very thought threatening to walk out if we made them work that hard. Couple this with other wonky quest issues like runic dungeon related things, the current issues with the last DIM of Divine RPG causing TPS issues it just wouldn't work well as a public server, so rather than serve something to our players half baked we presented it to our Patrons. Patron membership is affordable on almost any budget now with the adjustments Slind and Sirwill have made, the access to the server is around twenty-one cents a day given the current Dollar to Euro conversion. You'd definitely get your money's worth out of this one!
