so i tried boiling the water in the whiches cauldron with safety matches from draconic evo. of course, this doesn't work because safety fire is different from normal fire. So my question is, How do i get normal fire for this to work, flint and steel doesn't work. i can confirm that the fire is the problem as i went to the nether and used some fire there and it worked, obviously this is inconvenient and probably not intended
Server protection rather than modpack issue, as Tyler said, this is the only way to do it in the over world
Dispenser, flint and steel in the dispenser apply redstone signal viola netherack set on fire. Just put the cauldron over the flame.
