    As title says. The original point against wither in anywhere but nether was in case they escape, storage cell satisfy this + doesn't reset.

    Honestly it would be nice to have a dedicated non-resetting public "wither fighting dimension" on all servers since not every modpack has AE spacial storage or a similar alternative.

    I'm currently playing Sky Factory 3 the progression of which basically necessitates building an automated wither grinder to grind enough netherstars to make it to a lot of the endgame stuff, but the only place we can build them is in the nether which gets reset every month, meaning I have to remember to take it down before each reset and then rebuild it again after or else risk it been deleted which is a massive waste of time if you ask me.

    A simple custom flatworld with bedrock:y1-3, air:y4-60, bedrock:y61-63, with wither spawning and claims enabled would be ideal, that way people could build their wither grinders there and not have to worry about them been deleted.

    Sounds like a good idea to me! Now if only there was some kinda special claim so that the claimed chunk doesn't reset every month. Then the problem would be solved with some others too. ;)

    Allowing spawn in storage dimensions is a ton easier tho lol

    12-2 for a while now, and I don't see it getting into the negative. Can we get this implemented?

    In the Newer modpacks we have woot its a spawer that solws that and its a great mod

    not sure if this is a problem, but every different storage cell dimension has a different world/dimension number. keep this in mind :)

    Its a mod on forever strandet and beyond its a multi Block spawer wich sorta generate the drops the mob has like a ender man dropping perls it cost rf to use

    That is a cool mod but not every 1.10 mod packs have that like sf3 for example. And Myms would not add a mod that is not intended to be in the pack by the mod creators.

    Is it possible to do this in a different dimension like the spectre key from "Random things" or even a premade rftools dimension?

    As this is possible, we would need to create a way to getting to this dimension. And the post that Mouro linked is correct. We would have to whitelist every newly created cell dimension. So this option is out. Can you not create a farm in the last millenium dimension?

    But any dimension with a static id should work, so...
    - not ae storage cella
    - not space stations
    - last milinium should work
    - spectral dimension

    Of course dependand upon the packs having those dimensions.

    Random things dimension would work as every player is in the same dimension as far as I know.

    They are, though it does have the drawback that the spectre dim is specifically coded so that normal players (players who aren't op'd or in creative) can't enter another players spectre box by any means (even /tpa), which would make it difficult for friends to share a wither grinder if the player who's box it is in is offline.

    If you do decide to go with spectre dim you'd also need to enable spectre stuff in the random things config for sky factory 3 as well as delete the script entries that hide spectre stuff from JEI as spectre stuff is disabled by default in sky factory as the pack devs intended for people to spawn withers at their base inside RFtools shields or witherproof blocks etc if they didnt want to risk their base being blown up, spectre boxes being naturally unbreakable was seen as a too easy alternative, but since we can't spawn them at our base anyway due to wither restriction and there not being any other suitable native dims the spectre box is kinda the only viable option..

    Perhaps on SF3 you could keep spirit spawning disabled making ectoplasm unobtainable through the normal means but add a recipe for ectoplasm that requires some kind of witherproof blocks as a gating mechanism.


    That said, am I not wrong in thinking that you could just create a custom void dimension with multiworld (or whatever plugin you are currently using if you don't still use multiworld) and then add a /warp wither command for players to get there?
