The FTB Unhinged Server is designed for the longest playing experience with the hardcore recipes from Gregtech which make everything challenging. We developed it with the idea of expanding the server via. multiple dedicated servers, so that it can handle more players than every Feed The Beast Server out there. FAQ

How do I start ?

You will be sent to the portal room after passing a small test. From here you can go to the Farm World. Leave the area around the spawn and look for a piece of land to claim and build your first base. You can go Mining in the Farmworld and start gathering ressources. For quick travel back to your base set a home point with /sethome and use /home to teleport to it, /spawn brings you back to the Ship, go into the ship bridge to get to the portal room. Also have a look at the player shops in the shopping center located in the Main World, they might help to get certain items you dont have access to at the beginning.

How can I protect my stuff ?

Use a golden shovel to claim land in the Farm World. Other players have no permission to open chests and machines inside your claim by default, they also can not place or destroy blocks inside. The more time you spend on the server, the more blocks you get to claim. To enlarge your claimed area use your golden shovel again. You can also have more than one claim at the same time. To grant other players access to your claim, see a list of commands.

Will the Farm World be reset ?

Yes. The Farm World and also the Nether, the Twilight Forest and the End are not permanent. That's why you want to move to the Towny World at some point. Don't worry, there will be an announcement at least 2 weeks before the reset.

What is the Towny World?

Towny World is the permanent building world. The Towny plugin allows you to claim plots for your own. To make a new town just type /town new [townname] in the command line. The costs for creating a new town are 250 MyM. You also have to pay daily upkeep. The upkeep is determined by the number of town members, it starts with 50MyM for a town with 1 player. A new town starts with 4 plots for every player, you can also buy additional plots up to 20. When choosing a spot for a new town please keep in mind that we want you to hold a minimum distance between 2 towns of at least 10 chunks.

What is the Main World?

You can go to the Main World everytime, but you are not allowed to build there. It's dedicated for special projects. The shopping mall for example.

What is with the other Worlds?

To get access to other worlds like the Nether, the Twilight Forest, the Promised Land and The End you have to acquire certain items first. What items you need will be shown in the chat line when you try to use a portal. The items will be taken from your inventory when you successfully use the portal for the first time.

How can I get money?

You get money for being ingame. You are automatically given 50 MyM for the first hour every day, 40 Mym for the second and so on. You also get 250 MyM at the start of every week.

I found sponge in my inventory, what can I do with it?

We want to avoid excessive chunkloading to keep the server performance high. That's why we restrict the usage of chunkloaders. You can get 2 sponges a day - one after the first and one after the 2nd hour. A sponge serves as fuel for the Personal Anchor and lasts for one hour. Keep in mind the Personal Anchor is only active when you are ingame.

How can I contact a Mod/Admin?

We have a ticket system to report bugs. Use /ticket new to create a book, describe your problem, close the book but don't sign it, Use /ticket send to finish the process and wait for response. You can also try to contact the staff members in the forum via pn or use the IRC channel.
