Was making a trade with a guy give him a Etheric Sword in exchange for a soul of his. After giving the sword he decided to tp away saying that he "had to go" and would give the soul later. After I kept talking to him and I told him that I could report him (no clue if scam reports work or not but thought the threat might work) and he admits that he did scam. He attempts to pay me off with some compressed cobble which i say i don't need. Afterwards he tries to get more out of me and when i refuse saying again I will report him he begins saying he is starting his own server and that sky factory sucks. Continued by saying he is doping (duping) and that I should report him for that.
that is assuming he had 30 hearts which for most people is a poor assumption. Besides that, when he was at spawn trading me, he had 18 health so no, that is not a valid reason to scam
also from what i know the soulfragments only work for the one who made it anyway that person should get at least a temp ban
I have no clue about the soulmod, but my opinion: Him/Her saying that he/she is duping and that he/she wants to get reported is probably enough reason to permban him/her. Seemingly the scam he/she did is a pretty difficult fact... He/She did not leave, although he/she had to go.. I am not sure about that one, but for his/her confession of dupe there should definitly something be done.
Yeah, but i have not seen anything against scamming in the rules, that could lead to a ban: cit. Rules - MineYourMind 5.0 "- Scamming and artificial inflation is frowned upon." does not include any consequences from the side of the server as its just frowned upon.
that is why in my post i said im not sure if it is against the rules but him admitting to the dupe is what made me post
And that is correct, and I think staff will do something against this player if they can make sure he duped. He could just say that but havent duped, so a ban would be unfounded.
