try opening your cmd and write "ping (ip of the server)" if you get a respons the server should be up and running. If it says timed out the server should be down. As far as my knowledge goes

 

Hansi can you remove the IP? it's not supposed to be public

Sir you are showing the ip. Please delete as it should not be public. Then the problem you have is probably on your end.

Ping response is fine, and i can log on to the server fine

tried switching to google dns? might not do much but its worth a try

 

shouldn't affect anything ever, you're directly accessing an IP address, as such a dns server could not change how you're contacting the server

 

ive had a problem like what he is having before and doing that fixed it for me

 

*shrug* blowing into the game cartridge 100% fixed it guys, it's that in a nutshell

 

Swapped to 8.8.8.8 and alternative 8.8.8.4 dident seem to help me will try and add ports to firewall

kinda, that means the connection between you and the host is good/bad nothing about the mc server.

 

Well you wont be able to connect to the server if you get a 100% loss of data transferred eg not responding to ypur ping.
