but it's just as bad as the tome, infact, the recipie we had is actually MORE EXPENSIVE than this, which is quite amazing, so your argument about this being better is near moot, because getting iridium plates and primal charms is quite hard.

the iridium plates sell for almost 1K each market value and primal charms take about 15 min each to get

Yet you can get these way before you finish the book.... even using the "helper"
Im actually done with this conversion. I voiced my opinion,
you can see where i voted by clicking the number of people who voted..... not sure why its public, but maybe you also should see who voted where

I don't usually agree with Crhymez a whole lot, but I agree 100% with him on this and voted No. This is 100% game progression breaking and goes against the intention of the pack.

After more thought on the subject I feel that for this Mod pack maybe it should be disabled. For some packs I think it should be enabled. And not controlled on when it can be used. However this is a progression pack. So it does make sense to not have it. But thee are things to consider. For people coming into thaumcraft later on will have a harder time doing things like getting Crimson Rites and Knowledge Fragments etc. So if we are going to disable the Tome then we need to think about resetting the farmworld, twilight etc more often.

There is an Item in Thuamic Tinker call "think tank"
This item/ multi block structure allows you to craft knowlendge fragments at the cost of books.

I also captured a crimson knight and cleric. When i get in to spawning them i can offer you the crimson rited book.... but it still is disabled since Azanor hasnt finish them. If you need to "unlock" it for completion you can use mine.

again, the tome, for some is a big helper, i have researched thaumcraft so much i would shoot someone to have to do it for the 7th time, and thats a statement[DOUBLEPOST=1418685684,1418682652][/DOUBLEPOST]
is this game progression breaking? you can only share it with members of your team, and you're supposed to be more efficent as a team rather than not, which is kind of the point of the tome in the first place

Think of the extra staff resources to track every book. It's not feasible.

It's simple business math. Let's say that an admin or co-admin can look at a book and see who has used it. Let's say that this takes... 6 minutes to pull up the player inventory, find the book, and read the "touch" log. now let's say there is 100 books on the server total. That's 6 x 100 = 600 minutes or 10 HOURS of staff per day/week/whatever to review. Would you rather the limited volunteer hours donated by staff be used to keep track of books that aren't needed, or answering tickets and improving network?

Also how do you track "teams" or determine infractions of sharing?

I'm not saying the technology to track knowledge sharing (I don't even know) isn't there...I'm saying it's not feasible to enforce time wise.
