ive spent many hours the past few weeks learning the thaumcraft mod and have reached a point to where I cannot advance my research without going into the outerlands, I asked about this via in game chat and several players told me to give up thaum and move onto something else that there are no portals left in the overworld Ive flown around for several hours and havent spotten any obelisks or any homes for the eldritch guardian other than one that has been claimed by a player, is there anyway to generate more of these in the overworld so me and the other players dont have to abandon the thaumcraft modpack?
The farmworld resetted two days ago, you should be able to find some obelisks there. You can also move eldritch stuff with AE2 if you want.

its more than just getting the pearl, eldritch guardians arent coming out of the obelisks and you cant go to the outerlands from farm world anyway.
is it possible to add the outerlands to the portal list? like where farmworld the nether, last millenium is etc when you build a nether portal? there is an entity for it in the NEI and you can spawn a one time use portal in creative mode, seems like it would be doable, the cost would be the same, 3 eldritch eyes and the required level of research in thaumcraft?
that wouldnt work either because for a portal list, the obelisks link up to certain coordinates in the outerlands and if you spawn one in creatively it would spawn you in the void, and a creatively spawned obelisk doesnt spawn with the sinister node for the portal anyways (along with the fact if you put in a sinister node manually and activated the portal it would just spawn you in the void anyways)
when you spawn a portal this way it dont need an obelisk or a sinister node., it just creates a portal that you can pass through then it disappears
hope you guys can figure something out, my game progress is at a stand still since I cant keep going with my research. the lack of that portal keeps me from getting the last part of my research and stops me from making the top tier thaum items, pretty discouraging Ive got about 15 days of game time on this character just for thaumcraft
still no way found to work around these problems? frustrating being stuck in the same spot for weeks, can primordial pearls be added to the shop or something? still not a fix but it would help
your game obviously isnt being held up by something so small, chill isnt a helpful answer man you waste 3 weeks or more of real world time into something and learn you cant complete it, then chill.
well, you got told twice how to get the pearl pretty quick, ik that its not the way the modpack was designed, but its the way you have to go if you want to proceed further. afaik it doesnt help to get new obelisks, the dimension would also need a reset if all generated dungeons are raided.
18 days of killing mobs, running spawners, killing more mobs than I can count has resulted in 0 pearls being in any of the bags that have dropped. but sure its a possibility that one might drop, then I only need that to happen several more times so I can craft stuff, not fun at all
As this is a one time use item and not needed right away, we will consider either putting it on the market for 1K mym's or I will create a crafting recipe for it. It will not be cheap.
