I think that the ability to cross server trade with other players might be an interesting option. Perhaps it would be a command similar to /tpa where you need to reach a certain point to use it. Something like a /trade command, or even a warp to a hub. Where chat is cross server, surely a trade option could be cross server too.

Trust me when I say that cross server commands are both wanted by the players and the staff, because only few mod commands actually work cross-server. Btw, what server are you on that you need to reach a certain point to use /tpa? AG?

We've never had the ability to trade cross server and I'm unsure if it's ever been done on any other network either.

I don't seen why cross server trading would be a bad idea but I don't see it happening anytime in the future. :/

There was a time where we had the market plugin setup with one database for multiple servers, but as it wasn't built for it, it didn't work properly. :/ The author started at some time to implement a multiserver system that works. I'm not sure how far he got. Last time I checked it was paused for a unknown time. But on AG and CL there will not be trade like this. On Btem and Monster it is possible to trade face to face, or sell on one of the servers while you can buy on both.

I feel like this would be an absolute horror to implement. I can just picture somebody manually assigning block IDs for thousands of items from hundreds of mods and then implement it on every last modpack and server.

I could see a third-party plugin or mod that contains the data in order to make the transfer, but the reward doesn't justify the amount of work this would take.

I feel like economies are best left to each individual modpack to preserve their uniqueness. (Imagine B-Team trading with MineYourGalaxy or a GregTech pack)

Excuse the necro of this thread. I rarely visit the forums.

    I play on CL3 regularly.

I get this, i try to avoid anything that makes it easy unless its in the progression of my island, and any ease of playing is built by myself. There are times when i get curious and i've noticed that there are quite a few islands around mine that haven't despawned that seem to get raided. I tend to wander when i need a break from whatever i'm doing on my base.

I've noticed the market plugin advertisement on the CL servers, and was curious why it wasn't working or available. However, i shrugged it off at the time as other rudimentary skills from skyblock/survival servers work better than any market. In all honesty, my suggestion was more directed at plastic seeds than anything else at the time. I spent nearly 1000 MyM's before i got plastic seeds and had sifted two stacks of dirt before i got a single grass seed. Not sure if it was just bad luck or there was a glitch at the time, but i got what i needed now.

I know the feeling on this one. I used to host servers (Modpack and Vanilla) and implementing mods with manual input was hell on my brain.
