I'm trying to make a reactor and automate it to turn itself on and off, and I know a good way to do that is through rednet ports. However, to make a rednet port and run it, I need rednet cables, which seem to be banned. Is there a reason for their banning?
As long as you don't need to place them you should be able to craft them, if you don't put them in your inventory.
I'd need to place them for the reactor. May I ask why they're banned? I'm guessing it's for lag or exploit issues, but I'd like to know why. And if anybody else has any other ways to automate reactor on/off.
I meant the rednet cable. They are banned due to performance and stability issues. Unfortunately these were never fixed
Darn, alright. I'll have to figure some other way out. Thanks for letting me know though, might want to update the banned items list with them. And while I'm reporting glitches, I might as well mention that the Twilight Forest recipies aren't updated yet. I don't know if you guys just haven't had time to implement it yet, or what, but I thought I'd mention it.
