how much ram did you give it? 1.10 modpacks require at least 4GB(4096mb)of ram allocated.
thats just a visual bug, it happens sometimes when changing dimention. it usually fixes itself when you gain more exp or store levels in an obelisk
got a high rez texture pack? if so thats why
sounds like a memory leak, how much time has the game been running for? you should close it every now and then
how much ram are you giving java to work with? should be at least 4gb if not more for 1.10 packs
are you typing it exacly how it is? party invites are case sensitive

deep dark also has a bedrock layer at the top, though it think its at world hight so i dont think it could spawn up there

have you tried looking around? above the bedrock even. Sometimes graves spawn at wierd places if it cant spawn where you died
