We don't need a larger overworld, we need a farmworld. People are stripmining overworld, the deserts are already gone, now they're going for...
Kronn just said on Discord, it should be fixed now. Server is up and not on whitelist anymore.
Someone did that as well, but mostly it's a bunch of mob farms that aren't being maintained, spawning mobs everywhere and not preventing overflow.
The 1.2.1 -> 1.5.3 update came with some issues, they're currently trying to resolve them.
This so many times, it's a mess of abandoned laggy and/or horribly made mob farms.
I don't think the server can survive giving people the ability to chunkload their bases...
