Dr. Cyano's Lootable Bodies is compatible with AoA, and effectively acts as a grave mod.
It's fixed by a relog, so not intended invisible mobs. It seems to only occur when the mob spawns while the player is looking at it.
My strategy has been to run until I find a place a reasonable distance from myself that won't get them killed instantly, then let people TP to me :3
