That's the reason it was banned for as far as I remember.
Just tested it and it crashed for me too but I can just rejoin the server without crashing again. So I would leave it for now.

Whitelisted both although I don't think the recipe mod will work without the mod being on the server.
It wasn't approved yet and I declined it now as it is just a destroyed stuff.
I removed it, please try to join again and don't ride those again.

It was reported in our private bug reports section. Most mod devs stopped with 1.7 so reporting it is pointless.
