Might be fixed now, was caused by diamond spikes + villagers + witchery packet sending.
Added a patch which should fix it for now. Spike traps do probably no longer damage players but shouldn't be important.
Use the storage disks. Refined Storage does normally only cause performance issues while it's crafting or sometimes when interacting with other mods.
The update was set to release two days ago. We will update when someone gets to it. Updating will not fix all issues.
