I just tested the twilight forest with disabled progression again and it seems to work now, at least on infinity.
If you have the portal achievment you will not be able to get the other achievements as the bosses are too fast death.
I don't think you will be able to play this pack with 2GB then.
Infinity is a bigger modpack then direwolf20. How long could you play with 2GB? If you can reproduce it in singleplayer you could remove one mod...
Resurrection is not up to date so it doesn't have the version with this bug. You could switch to dimensional tranceiver until this bug got fixed.
