As I've been scouring the overworld in search of an obelisk so I can finish Thaumcraft, I have found many bases that are in various states of abandonment. Some have claims, so obviously are not abandoned. However, there are many chests here and there, some buildings and even various machines out in the open with no claims in sight. Is it okay for players to clean up these areas or demolish parts of buildings that weren't wiped along with the claim from inactivity? Also, if I find some things I'd like to keep is that okay as well?
To be even more specific, I found some gaia pylons setup and no real base or any signs of inhabitants or claims nearby. I've placed a claim around them so nobody can steal the said pylons and beacon. Could a staff member possibly check these things out to see if they're free game?
We do not allow players or give players to take any item on the server that they did not build or place themselves. If a player takes it upon themselves to destroy said items they can and most likely will be banned for griefing of another players property. It does not matter how long a player has been away from their base it is still considered griefing. If you contact a staff member and we find that the area has not been lived in for a very long time we may regen the area and delete all the items from the server but we would only do this for someone wanting to build there and not just random items around the world. We also do not give out other players items. Please understand we do have rules on this server and they have to be followed as such and nothing on the server is free game unless you built it and placed it yourself.
