I don't really like packs with too many cross dependencies, I also want to spend some of my time building. Gregtech would be nice, but as I can't build a huge fusion reactor in the end I don't consider it worth the effords atm. So we'll build this on BTP because that pack has most interesting mods, including some of the more uncommon ones (eg. PneumaticCraft), and because the Bevo offers good support for his pack. And please discuss the other modpacks stuff somewhere else.
In fact, we are next to an ocean, and a harbour is already planned... Have an example for good ships?
Like a destroyer surrounded by frigates and small boats, probably made of a greyish type of chiseled block to make it look more realistic but ill take a look at the mod and see what else there is to add

If it wasn't for the direct 'military lab' text in the OP, I'd call this place the Black Mesa Research Facility. (Teleportation, Energy, Factory, and train/rail, not to mention the biome.)
Yeah, black mesa was the initial inspiration and the military part is in there too. We just didn't want to be too obvious about our missing creativity
Here are some updates: Most of the time we spent gathering resources and upgrading our tech. If I didn't manage to fall through the world we could have built everything from diamonds. ;-) Now we use clay to build rough shapes of several areas. The next step would be to choose fitting materials and to add details. We added a lobby to the train station and we're planning to build the security headquarters in the vicinity. Part of our new machinery is autocrafting: We also upgraded our storage and AE2 control room: Our mission control room already got a rough shape and some ideas what would be done there We're planning to connect all parts of the facility. For heavy machines there is going to be a cargo elevator. We are still waiting for Remain in Motion though. :/ We've got a lot of space below the applied energistics level. In fact we just mined over 6 000 m³ of clay: That's a lot of space and we want to use it all. That means we need to build bigger. So we won't just cramp our machines together; we build something around them. Like here: or even bigger: We are still looking for more people. Someone knowing good big reactor designs might be very helpful since our complex AE system is going to use a lot of energy. For those who already applied in this thread: Xfel or I are going to contact you soon.
Today, we built a helicopter landing pad for the facility and a helicopter to land on it. Yes, the rotor is build of BigReactors turbine parts. That's not cheap at all, but the result is worth the expanse. This is also teh new location of our warp point, where new employees will arrive. And this is our welcome comitee. The equipment for these soldiers has also been crafted legaly (about 48 diamonds went in there...) We still need some people to help us. We can use both specific mod experience and building skills (We also need some planes, some cars, and so on). So please apply!

I could help with the regular building of stuff, not entirely a modpack section itself, but i have the idea that i will kind of look like the umbrella corp. Like in Resident Evil . But yeah, if help is still needed i would love to join the buil.
