Bosslykpeter Ban

I personaly thing staff did the right thing.
Especially after spamming threads with the same msg just becuse he didnt like the answer.

 

Hey i have to add something to this report.
There was a ticket in which bosslykpeter and john killed 2 other guys in their claims (at this time killing in claims was not allowed).
We could have banned Bossly for this too but we talked to him and MoltairTremox warned him to follow the rules and dont bend the rules anymore.
We always try to find the best solution but if players are ignoring us and always trying to cause problems, we cant and we wont let the community suffer under this person.

 

@Slind the ban appeal is not linked to this it is to do with the other incident where i was accused of "hacking"[DOUBLEPOST=1454008464][/DOUBLEPOST]For all who are not aware there are no clear rules about teleporting players outside of claims i simply disagree with how this was handed and the time period i have been banned for this could have been resolved through one conversation i promise that i did not do this on purpose

 

i have 2 points too raise here on neither me or @bosslykpeter have hacked the server in anyway when using this description of "hacking"

Hacking is the gaining of access(wanted or unwanted) to a computer and viewing, copying, or creating data(leaving a trace) without the intention of destroying data or maliciously harming the computer.

This represents the Good Guys most of the time for they are the ones who search for these exploits to prevent crackers use a method called cracking(opposite of hacking).

Hacking and hackers are commonly mistaken to be the bad guys most of the time. Crackers are the ones who screw things over as far as creating virus, cracks, spyware, and destroying data.

secondly the rules were not descriptive enough for this ban to be fairly enforced i understand that intrnaly you consider this an offence but externally (as in not staff) this is a very grey subject which really has been unfairly enforced also i would like to say i will give @Luphadir hes stuff back if he wishes i think this is a good method of rebuilding bonds and @bosslykpeter ter could publicly appogize for what he has done i think the same should be done for @LordFungi this is an unclear area that should of by all rights been better descibed meaning it is unfair to both @bosslykpeter and @LordFungi[DOUBLEPOST=1454009300][/DOUBLEPOST]also @Slind i have to ask did your come up with cat in a microwave on the fly cause this image has had me laughing for ages

Teleporting Players against their will is not allowed and considered a Claim bypass and will result in a minimum 2 week ban from all of MyM

I don't think the issue here is so much the ban but the players response to the ban.

If it had been a simple ban appeal, I would sympathize and understand where the people who commited the crime is coming from.

I and probably a lot of the community no longer cared when my Forum feed/email became spammed with bossily attacking Slind.

The ban is now permanent correct? I feel the accused attacked childish instead of explaining calmly to staff and created a dramatic issue that is/and will never be needed imo.

If parties had stayed calm this probably could of been resolved easily.

As the "victim" John asked me to put down my 2 cents on the matter.
First of all and foremost I have no hard feelings to BosslykPeter nor LordFunghi

How ever ill have to say this, the ban in place in my eyes are just.
a) I warned Peter after the event that he and LordFunghi had crossed the line.
b) I would have forgotten the hole matter if they gave my stuff back, not even had made a ticket.
However they were so sure of them selves that they did nothing wrong, but in every decent mind you would have known you bypassed the rule (items safe in own claim) people in their own claim are building or doing other stuff than PvP this means they are fully packed with their tools and other stuff they need for "building" so not equiped for battle. So the matter was marked as "Grievance" and in my convenience the staff acted to build a better clear rule set.

So if the new rule existed yes or no is inrelevant, Grievance and claim by passses is just something the MyM community will not accept.
They have a high reputation for grievance free servers and i am pretty sure they won't let a PvP server destroy that reputation.

As for the length of the punishment, i do not want to judge over that, I do not have all the records of players passed intrusions.

I think the staff knows pretty well what they are doing in this aspect.
If you ask me if a 2 week ban for a single event, yes that is a bit harsh, especially when you aren't a donator it will mean all your basses on different server will have been reset aswell.

These are my 2 cents and no hard feeling to anyone in this matter, looking forward to see them back on the server with a leason well learned.

Agreeing with Luph, I don't even care about the base reason the ban at this point. This may seem ranty but it's this, as someone who checks the forums pretty often when I am not busy, I have no need, no want, no bloody reason to want to see my forum flooded with Bossly VS Lucid threads when bossly is clearly in the wrong. This does nothing but impact you negatively, so next time? Spare my email/forum feed when I go to browse the forums.

i tried but honestly its frustrating when i am banned twice within the time of a week i posted a ban report as u said and it was declined so i decided to publicly bring up the issue at which point my forum post were closed because lucid felt like doing so and did not agree with my opinion what happened to the right to have an opinion and the fact that i wanted it to get heard

it would have been 5 days but because i was falsely accused of hacking i am now banned for 2 weeks as i have had a previous offence
and for the life of me Staff please show me evidence of me hacking i beg of you ?

However stop hiding behind your own opinion and read my statement again and again till you understand the rule already was there.

 

We didnt ban you for the first offense. You killed players inside their claim (wasnt allowed at this time).
So we took this into the ban duration

My first offence / ban was due to me being accused of hacking when i didnt and then lucid decided that if i do not admit to the false accusation i will not get unbanned

Spam is not allowed either

 

I dont mean the hacking offence. I mean your offence on the server in which you bypassed pvp and killed ppl inside their claims.
Also considering the ban duration, u can see that we wanted to permanently ban you but we decided against.
