This happens a lot. I raise a valid point concerning age audiences, then I get disregarded. Nonetheless, I don't feel a pack based around this would go far as it targets a very small audience & you'd be creating drugs and that would be really it.
It would have some sort of economy base to it as well for the drugs to sell but they are NOT to be used by players e.g somepeople could get caught by police for using them (in-game police) so the drugs would be used for making steel using them in hospitals stuff like that
Making a skyblock like Agrarian Skies is hard if you don't have the knowledge. Honestly other than getting all patches and mods to work in conjunction, the hardest part about setting up the modpack is setting up a way for islands to be generated, and making the (HQM or any other mod) quest book. Now if it's like the original skyblock, in which you have no quests, nothing to point you in the right direction, only a chest with ___ items, a tree, and a tiny bit of land, that's easier. Perhaps if you finish an open world version of this modpack, and everything goes well, if you don't mind of course, I'd be interested in making an Agrarian Skies like version of this, whether you wanted to help or not, as long as I have your permission. I've made plugins and such, even put together a modpack for me and a few friends before, never make a skyblock based one though, it'd be a new experience for me.
Unfortunately as our network is family friendly this would not work for us. The way I look at it, is if I were a parent, would I want my ten year old child playing a game involving drugs? Of course I wouldn't. We have to provide an experience that is acceptable to all ages, not just mature ages. I understand that it would be aimed towards chemistry, however the drug aspect remains. I'm not saying the suggestion is a "bad" suggestion, however it just simply isn't compatible with our network's policies and ideals.
Well the "Breaking Bad" idea is (and this is only what I think when he says this) just using chemicals and processes, and making things out of it, such as making ores out of other items. And methophetamine is a thing you could add as a chemical, which it is, and it be appropriate as long as it doesn't have any drug-related uses.[DOUBLEPOST=1468256033][/DOUBLEPOST] The idea is that you make items out of chemicals, which is the base of minechem, which he said this was based around. Also, just to say, he/she never actually said that they were going to try to make this an MyM pack or try to get an MyM server for it. Just saying.
Hence why it's only based on the idea of how like minechem works. Perhaps even if this idea is highly liked, someone with the knowledge to do so may create a mod specifically for the idea of this modpack.
Well im working on the pack now and may need to make some modifiications to some mods (ha making mods to a mod thats funny.) but if anyone who has java experiance and has some free time that would be a lot of help conntact me if you want to! And maybe saying based around breaking bad was a bad choice of words i simply mean making things out of chemicals and basicly trying to compelete the peridoict table and an extra table for minecraft witch is the base of this modpack so yeh poor choice of words i guess! It will have other mods and the base is just the chemicals thats all i'm taking from it and some machines (go figure) but in no way is it just going to be minechem by its self
