Decided Against Builder's Paradise 1.12.2 Pack suggestion

I still would love to see a pack that uses mods like millenaire for creation of towns rather than giant machine systems. Or my always getting a vote pack, Pixelmon... XD

But I do think there have been alot of quest restricted packs recently and it would be nice to get into a server that is more based around casual build play rather than being forced to follow a linear path or overly complicated recipes.

 

I agree. Yes I like a challenge from time to time or even exploring new ways to do something or new mods. However, sometimes I just like to relax, take my time and build stuff.

 

Just to consolidate my opinion, have a small rant and to bump this up a bit…

Builders Paradise would be a great addition to the options available to play on if it comes out. As almost all the other Mod packs are Sky block or a quest book or things changed to make it harder.

Now It’s not that most of the new packs might be harder for some (harder can be good), it’s not that most are sky block(sky block if fine but gets old) and its not even that there is no building tools. It is the fact that Minecraft was made to be a sand box type game were you can build and do things your way. When you add a quest book with a step by step path to follow that you cant really divert from. It is no longer a sandbox type game it is a set of instructions on how to do something and how to get to the end of the game. Basically a thing in game that tells you to read the wiki because I just changed how things are done and you have to follow this path or you will not proceed. This changes each time a new mod pack comes out with a quest book. I say enough of the reinventing the wheel and lets get back to building stuff and doing things at the pace and style that is more freeing and creative with out being restricted by a lame quest book.

My only issue with this pack is, that we already have a kitchen sink pack in 1.12 with Revelation, which has roughly the same mods, you could already build fancy stuff there , but it isn't really thaaaat popular. Compared to Infinity Normal Mode btw, which just doesn't die apparently.

Then again, I agree that we need more "normal" packs. And maybe sooner after they get published, so that we get new players into the network.

Checking on this. Kinda stopped playing for a bit but when I hear that this is a thing I will be back. Oh Hi everyone, had to take a break from the quest book mayhem that is of style right now.
