    Bugs are bad. Sorry.

I believe LordFungi volunteered to either do it or pay for it...

    Thank you Booker.

AM2 could be good, but as it is... No. It doesn't play nice with others, and until that gets fixed, I am against it being on any MyM server.

I'm not saying the A/B players don't know what they're talking about, or anything like that, all I'm saying is that they aren't the only ones who ought to have a say in the matter, lol.

It would be good idea if the mod would be in good state. Currently it is not.

If you want this mod on server, find someone willing to work on this mod. I think that if you look hard enough you will find someone who would do that for free. Or learn Java by yourself and do it.

Potential solution to AM2 griefing: GriefGuardian, a forge mod built by Mithion to counter griefing. Although it would likely have to replace the current GriefPrevention, making it less compatible with current servers, it should play nicer with mods.

The only thing I can think of with that, is that it may be difficult to integrate it with the current voting system.

Unless it is patching each of the mods which bypasses normal griefprevention protections it does less than our current system.

From what I can tell, it should work with any forge mod which uses the event system correctly. This is at least what I can garner from Mithion's explanation here.

As of right now ars2 seems to be receiving semi regular bug fixs... I'm talking to the current maintainer and we MIGHT, might maybe consider adding it based upon how the conversation goes.

So, we're talking about adding a potentially buggy mod, with shaky support, that will make PvP better, on our buggy civilization server, that has shaky support, and is not supposed to be PvP focused?

Booker is right. We rerally do need an emoji for sarcasm, because I'd use it here.

    Sounds like a perfect fit!

I have to ask, as players complain about the fact that a number of players on the civ server are essentially unkillable at this point... What does this do to the unkillable players to reduce their defenses, while not adding any new ones?

Seriously? What do I mean by buggy? Are we talking about the same server? It goes down often. I can crash it at will with aThaumcraft bug. Apparently Mek pipes and inventory panels have an issue? And, speaking of Thaumcraft, it went down the last time around, and it went down this time around as well. It doesn't play well with something else in this pack, or maybe multiple somethings. And, Civ has no dedicated support person that I'm aware of, unless something has changed, at which point I'd ask why I've seen nothing about this change. First thing I'd do if I became the admin would be to post an announcement ingame about the new situation, with links to a bug report thread. I'm online plenty, and the only admin/mod that comes through with any regularity is Werwolfi. I mentioned a bug to him about trying to start the siege in the end, and nothing happened that I'm aware of to fix it.

Nobody wants this server to get the love more than I do. But, I haven't seen it yet.

You are now the official admin of the Civ server? Great! First thing you should do is post an announcement to the repeating chat messages about that change, with a link to a Bug Tracking database or a forum thread that you've made.

How, pray tell, does one 'work on the pack" without being an admin? Who is going to implement any solutions you discover?

Sounds great. The day I can log into Civ and NOT see a laundry list of mods reporting that they're out of date, I'll start working on that bug list with you. I'm looking forward to it.
