Claims on node 1 are disabled for now.

That's the same problem I was thinking about before knowing claiming stopped wither dmg. Haven't really found an alternative to this (besides maybe SFM, but not sure if it's really wither proof).

The wither isn't supposed to be an easy kill, and in-order to achieve success killing it easily should take some thought. Not just claiming blocks.

I totally agree, I just don't see a machine that a) places the blocks and b) survives the explosion.
If anybody knows such machine I will happily use it ^^

you just program them to retreat before the blast goes off. you have 8.5 seconds before the wither explodes when you spawn it

This could be an interesting solution. I'm not sure if some items used in this video are banned on the server, but I think you could use the same principle. Just cover the whole structure with warded blocks (with a respective distance between the cage and the warded blocks), automation possibilities are given anyway. It's just you can't use the water in the nether.

This is a similar design that i use on other servers, but the issue with the wither boss on infinity is that he explodes when charging up exactly where he is made, so he would destroy the block placers if you made this design.

this doesnt work because the wither will teleport back to its point of creation on this server, which will destroy your machines every time from the wither explosion

I really hate when people build wither killers in the nether, or mob farms, because they tend to hide them in netherrack, then if I want to mine anything in the nether with a quarry or staff of power I have to scout the whole area and make sure there's nothing there first, because if I don't, its my fault that someone's hidden machine gets damaged. I've had near misses just using a mining hammer too.
