Just makeing sure, Crucial Ballistix 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (BLE2KIT4G3D1608DE1TX) - PCPartPicker is this the right memory?[DOUBLEPOST=1423951930,1423951398][/DOUBLEPOST] What is your recommendation for thermal compound?[DOUBLEPOST=1423952069][/DOUBLEPOST]Also do i need a wired network adapter?
If you plan to restock to 16gb soon, go with one stick. Using all 4 motherboard slots is not recommended. If you don't plan to upgrade go with 2x4. good question, I only ever bought one on recommendations from a overclocking team. I'm not at home and can't check. It was a silver based one from a company starting with c if I remember correctly. I used it to overclock a first gen I5 from 2,4 to 3,8 (later down to 3.5 as issues arrived after half a year) with air cooling. I can look up in areas I trust if you like. But its only a third party opinion than. Ethernet? if so, no as the mainboard has one. If wireless, yes, but I have no experience here, only that saving hear would be at the wrong place. Got a lot of feedback from friends buying 4 wlan cards within a year.
Okay, made a list Intel Xeon E5-1620 V2, Asus GeForce GT 610, Aerocool Strike-X GT-Bk - System Build - PCPartPicker Anything not needed or something missing?
Classic are Arctic MX-2/4 and Noctua NT-H1. (Noctua peforms a bit better in tests, but I could only find some without laboratory conditions) JonPlus9000 and Gelid GC-Extreme are treated as secrets. (I saw them at top places in nearly all tests, but they seem to be a bit difficult to use (in terms of flat and equal distribution) and no reports about them after a year or even few months.)
did you send the right link. what you did there makes no sense at all. the gt610 is a very old weak graphic card. the once I linked cost around half of the entire other parts. (300-800$ not 50) The cpu is totally different, it wouldn't even work with the mainboard. The memory you picked is overpriced for non overlocking. The casing you picked might look cool on the pictures but it has bad cable management, is not silenced, maybe non robust and the big graphics card might not even fit... The things I recommended are pretty well asked for I don't think you will get everything from one shop without waiting months for all parts. Is there a good computer hardware shop comparison list with shop reviews for the us. One that could be used to get the cheapest and best rated shop for each part? For Austria and Germany it is geizhals.de
GIGABYTE GV-N970G1 GAMING-4GD GeForce GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card - Newegg.com is this the right video card?[DOUBLEPOST=1423954881,1423954624][/DOUBLEPOST] No idea, Also its not one shop. What case do u recommend?
Updated list Intel Xeon E5-1620 V2, Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) - System Build - PCPartPicker Anything u would change?[DOUBLEPOST=1423955293,1423955146][/DOUBLEPOST]Seems that the Corsair Dominator Platinum Memory isnt Compatible with the cpu. "The Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Ivy Bridge-EP CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum."
Also do u happen to know What the size of the OS and all of it's files? im thinking about storing that data on a solid state drive.
you still have the wrong cpu and other wrong parts. I did create a geizhals wish list so you can copy the exact model Meine Wunschliste Preisvergleich | Geizhals EU This list does contain the fractal case, 2x4GB RAM (for gaming this is enough) and the SSD. It does not contain a drive and cpu cooler. (saves 40-80 bucks for a good air cooler and thermal compound). I did also add a monitor with low lat, good contrast and great colors for its price. if you compare contrast compare the static one (most cheap and gaming monitors don't publish it which is a shame). You need to be careful and compare the model's as for example the power supply exists with and without cable management (cm)
Man u gota love google translate. Also its not "bugs" its "bucks". Amazon.com: Intel Xeon Processor E3-1231V3B 3.4 4 LGA 1150 (BX80646E31231V3): Computers & Accessories This?[DOUBLEPOST=1423956158,1423956063][/DOUBLEPOST]Also some of these things im having a hard time finding
lel, you don't need to translate it. better not do it, as it might change the model names which wouldn't be good. I hate writing on the phone, dumb auto correct from the phone and many grammar errors from me. Copy the model, than switch to the shop page and do Ctrl + F -> paste -> enter Now it will search the page and you see if the model matches.
If u ever get the time, can u make something that alerts you when some edits a comment? i keep missing out of info not knowing u added something.
