Is this only expert mode? or is it going to have regular mode as well?

According to twitch app regular mode has exploration and expert doesn't?

Only expert atm. Not sure how exploration would be different between normal and expert.

Is the endgame still the same? I believe it's to craft creative items.. or is that nerfed?

I found it to be an OK technical experience, I never had any huge bugs, but it did have some irksome technical issues such as:
    • Loading would be slow on occasion, it would struggle to find worlds
    • Some Camp related issues
Game play felt very bland to me, combat was uninspired. The VATS system which they have ever so slowly trying to kill died in this game. Not just from the perspective of it not stopping/slowing time, it required you to pump points into perks to make it anything more than auto target torso. The auto targeting from VATS usually made the situation much worse when facing more than one mob, along with the decrease in damage since you weren't targeting the mobs weak area.

Next the lack of story just made me stop playing entirely after a few hours, while there are quests, they are handed out by terminals, holotapes and robots making the whole experience less immersive. Why on Earth would I care about someone long since dead that is just a disembodied voice. It just doesn't hold my interest.

The PvP system while flawed is nowhere near as irritating as Amazon's New World PvP system. I'd love to ramble about it, but I'm still under NDA, I can tell you it is bad, and let's hope it changes before the release or you will beg for Fallout 76's PvP...

So if you like survival MMOs then it is probably just another one in a long line, just with a higher price tag. It isn't Fallout, it is a cash grab.

quick thing for admins as i see astral sorcery in the pack. Is it possible to make 1 of the astral sorcery crystals public use? it just needs to be claimed with use rights but no break rights (and the required crafting table ofcourse). i don't know if this is fair seeing as this is an expert pack and it might be gated, but it would save alot of frustration when players that are late to join try to start the astral sorcery mod.

Both Normal and Expert mode have exploration, unless you play the Skyblock version.

I'm already pretty far in this pack (Beginning "space age" atm with 100+ hours played), and i can say for a fact that some of the required materials for progression are gated behind Astral Sorcery.

In fact, almost every item needed for progression in the pack, is gated behind something from another mod, often from multiple different ones.

so if the admins make a public crystal with that crafting table under it to start out the mod(that crystal structure thingy needed to craft your first wand or something). Will that ruin the progression?

The Resonating Wand that you need does not require a structure to make, you do need the structure to make your first Starmetal however. (Maybe there are other methods for it, I'm new to Astral, and they would probably be gated aswell)

In my opinion, having a public Astral structure would not ruin progression whatsoever, but would make it more bearable, as people tend to claim them all for some reason.
