New Enigmatica 2 Expert Server Launch

From what I've played each section of the quest book has a gate, I'm not deep enough into the pack to say that there is a clear progression block by not unlocking each gate, though I suspect there will be a symbiotic relationship between some mods the deeper you get. Initially for me is was the forcing of Immersive Engineering to create steel and alloys. Safe to assume there will be other issues like this the deeper you go.

Is there a non-questing pack coming? Something more open like infinity? Curious since we've gotten a few of these packs and it feels like those are the only ones that admin are releasing. Not trying to be rude, just curious since the casual modpacks are older and have been played to death and the newer packs are surround by the HQM quest book/mods.

 

Good question, i personally think having a questbook makes me enjoy all the mods because normally i forget about items in mods. Even with a questbook you can just play the pack normally, the new gates the modpack has designed could be seen as new mechanics. I do think mods get updated in earlier packs(do mind the minecraft version) too if you wanted to play the newest mods, you could do this in other 1.12 packs dw20 maybe?

8gb might be to few ram for that many mods. ;-)

 

I played before, I had 8 GB, I had enough. I use 8 GB everywhere

 

I think he means 8GB in his pc, which means 4-6gb allocated to MC.

 

i got it running with 6G, but i have my java tweaked to play more potato-ish

 

I played this pack just fine with 5GB allocated out of the total 8GB.

jk, i'm pretty sure i won't play it, but this modpack looks cool

 

Not enough server spaces seeing multiple people leaving to join different servers due to the server being 23/18 nobody can get their friends on if you're wanting people to base on the server and actually stay they're going to need to have their friends play on the server this is abit ridiculous I've personally experiences the stress myself wanting to get someone on 3 days in a row now and they haven't got to join once.
Increase server player number! reserved spaces will still be good due to the more people joining anyways just pay more attention to the stress the server is going through and increase what needs increased as the more players the better for the community as it overall ends up in more funds
