Done Game constantly freezing and FPS lagging after playing longer time

John Me and my friend Endavorgaming where getting those freezes too which is why i stopped playing

 

ok question whats your internet connection like also does it do it in SP too or just on server

 

Well my connection is pretty good and soo far i haven't tested in SP just in the server

 

Can you please post specs of your computer here?

ok i don't know how to find the specs but i did try sp and everything was smooth

 

ok if its smooth in SP its a connection problem so not the packs fault

 

Actually john should't be, every other pack runs pretty smoothly and i think its the fault of progression

I blame progression because when i started in Civ everything ran smoothly but after a while it started happening

 

that doesnt make any sense from my perspective i would guess that as your base/server grows more stuff needs to be downloading and i would guess that your and alvens internet arnt capable of keeping up i could be and most likly am wrong but thats my best guess

 

How ever you want to put it, i just know that when i started playing on the server everything was fine but after a while the problem started happening i had to abandon Civ after getting those freezes which got annoying i just don't know how it only has happen on Civ since i had play every other pack to end game and never got those freezes and my fps on those pack were at a steady 40 but in Civ after getting the freeze it when from 0 to 10

 

Yes, you are wrong at least in my case. I can't play SP too much because after a while my game runs out of RAM. On server, I still got freezes even on spawn so this problem has to be something else.

@julio1237878 How long did you play the SP? If shorter than 2 hours, try to leave SP running for long time and see if you won't get freeze.

Uh, johnfg, I tried running it with 3 gb RAM, didn't work. I have latest java installed (8+).
I think that problem is something else. I had freezes even with low used memory (from f3 ingame).

 

ive done a few optimizations for next version hopefuly u will be ok then

 

I hope so, I would really like to play civ again but it isn't worth doing so with constant freezes.

Is there any way how to make players choose between 2 different config folders when installing pack? I had idea that there can be 2 versions of config folders, one normal and another optimized for performance.
