Great reactor setup!

Discussion in 'Tutorials, Tips and Tricks' started by mrminesheeps, Jun 12, 2016.

  1. Woops! Replied to the wrong post, sorry. Meant that the reactor design by OP is a lot complex and not very efficient.[DOUBLEPOST=1465812504][/DOUBLEPOST]Anyone can post a reactor design which can make ~10k RF and has decent efficiency? I'm tired of making fuel rods for the ic2 reactors. Playing infinity evolved, owner of a certus quartz wrench.[DOUBLEPOST=1465812777,1465812291][/DOUBLEPOST]
    Possibly none.

For active cooled? I run THIS at 36% insertion, It will run 8 turbines at 28.5 per turbine, nets about 228k per tick, uses an ingot every 173 seconds, so.... Almost a Million RF per ingot (788k per ingot)

Passive cooled, I use THIS. The base formula for rod insertion is as follows:
    45% + (% of max power - 45) = Control rod insertion.
    Minimum Insertion is always 45%

    I'll also use THIS sometimes

    your design is REALLY inefficient!
Why would it be good at all?
There are designs that give more than twice as much rf/ingot.

the ones you posted are 3 times as efficient for example.

knoxz, am i getting the impression you were talking about my design? for it's purpose, it's pretty good. no need to act like some smart-alec. it was a good design for someone in my position, with limited supplies, and for the purpose it had.
