Done Is this obsidian gen considered duping?

Alright so I found a video on youtube for a obsidian generator and it looked easy so i built it and it worked. I thought this was all good but then my friend on my island said it could be considered exploiting. I dont wanna get in trouble because i really like this server. Here is the video if you guys could tell me if its okay or not i would really appreciate it. thanks -bugs

Doesnt look like exploiting to me, although there are probably easier was to get obsidian

 

This is a bug that existed (still exists on older versions) on Minecraft vanilla, it was fixed on 1.8, and quite honestly lava is very easily to get on SkyBlock servers..
