I'd say use Applied energistics, doesn't seem hard , just takes time to set up.

make a underground train system and go for making more power to power everyone else base

 

I would welcome a connective station outside my facility.

Here's some ideas Tam;

1- Build a central Nuclear power station complete with huge towers and pylons spanning the map feeding power at a price
2- 3D maze within 10 to 100x100x100
3- Build a ruined skyscraper adventure tower full of mob spawners and nasty surprises
4- Redirect the flow of an ocean, effectively slicing a section of the map in half
5- Create watch towers with beacons that can be seen from each other covering the map
6- Beached submarine complete with semi submerged decks
7- Build a 10 block wide and 3 deep road between the major player homes, including epic spanning bridges
8- Recreate the independence day film ship either in the sky or smashed into the floor. "Welcome to errf!"
9- Roller coaster
10- Recreate the 7 wonders
11- Duplicate a single world chunk 50 blocks above it's original positive to give the impression of the land being scooped up

I'm outta ideas and I was channeling Star-Treks Borg on no-11.
