Our goal is to get the farmworld thing done this month and ferret business afterwards which will probably take from a few days to a week.
If you want to get a modpack added, please go to the 1.7.10 Modpack Recommendation Thread. This poll is already well over, and the modpacks have been chosen.[DOUBLEPOST=1440360211][/DOUBLEPOST] Awesome!
I would prefer ae1 over ae2 just because higher complexity/resource doesn't necessarily make a mod better, just more irritating.
Hard, no. Waste of time, yes. What, exactly, are you making so many of that you need so much autocrafting? I mean other than the ae components themselves? Also---while I am ranting anyway---what is so special about the presses? All they really do is add more layers to the crafting process itself (necessitating the building of even more machines) not to mention forcing you to mine a sometimes ungodly---well, maybe Cthulhu---number of meteors in the hope of getting them all. For those of us who are RNG-challenged, this alone is a major sticking point.
buying them from the market for cheap is easy and AE1 with it's autocrafting if you set it up on a 7x7x5 autocrafter you can cripple servers, with AE1 people tend to go overboard way more than AE2 causing massive ammounts of lag
I never really understood why you would need that big either. I guess it shows that I am not a huge fan of so much unnecessary automation. The name of the game is MineCRAFT after all. This conversation makes me wish for the return of xycraft (God forbid!) with the fabricator as the only craftable block. On this subject, I guess I am done. It is amazing what screaming, yelling, and pounding on the table will do for stress relief.
What is this mythical XyCraft you speak of? and the thing was mainly used for large crafting things say Quantum suits and octuple compressed cobble (those were 2 biggies)
I did. The last FTB pack before the outbreak of war between mdiyo and GregoriousT. Also the first major use of Tinker's Construct I think. It was great. For my money, FTB has been going down hill ever since.
