Carpenters safes seems easily and due to the iron cost per I wouldnt be to worried about it. But warding a block takes essentially no cost, maybe add rec curing chat message saying to get around warded blocks is a BM teleposer just to make that information common[DOUBLEPOST=1431939160][/DOUBLEPOST]Just to put this out there on here, but I dont think UHC regrowth is not a good mix for UHC, the common I have seen people want is ftb trident as its designed for this but based on teamwork/grouping so all your progression isnt just wiped away If there was a pack like that maybe having a box where there is no progression loss for teams, just random thoughts
I have to agree with that. The biggest problem with Regrowth is that if you get raided the rebuild time is immense(Assuming they take/destroy everything). Getting everything back to 10 10 10, etc is going to take way too much time and there are no ores in the ground which forces that path. I'd recommend taking look at my post on the new modpacks page. New pack came out on AT that with a few tweaks would fit the bill pretty well. Has some fantastic new PvP options as well.
That would be a much better pack for uhc or factions server, but I get the feeling that its way to large of a pack for UHC for basics like land space, aether (full dimension, like clone of overworld), moon (can make everything on overworld there, also space stations are perfect as no one else can get there). For things like that I feel its to vast for UHC, but I do like it as a modpack a lot and would prefer over infinity if there was a little more testing on it
Thats what i was talking about with tweaks. Ban out some of the mods like Galacticraft, Aether, and Compact machines since they give an unreachable location. There would still be some work that would need to be done.
Ah cool, sorry didnt look to hard and missed that, would it be better just to just make another pack for UHC from scratch? I know they have done this before so it may be good for long term as an investment. Or just modifying an existing pack like that one but just strip out some mods like aether as it doesnt add any other functionality wihout the ather. Plus smaller packs runs quicker for everyone also check the post I made for mini-games in suggestions, would love to see what you think of it

It's quite deserted too :/ 90% of the time I'm online I'm the only one there. That isn't exactly why I joined a server.
You joined to "grief" and raid, others joined to play in "peace". you would be surprised that majority of the players are mature and dont raid. I think a better option to UHC would to use Towny and have nation wars, so there is chaos for those that want it
I mean in retrospect Regrowth may not have been the best choice for a PvP server. First off most people prefer tech over magic because it is simpler and also a lot faster and Regrowth really doesn't offer anything in terms of tech. Secondly, the way the pack is laid out with HQM and all leads it to be a grindy early game and it doesn't really get that fun/interesting until you have the crops and can progress in the other mods. I think that is one of the biggest deterrents because if you do get raided then you have to go through the entire grind again, which isn't the least bit fun. My vote would go towards replacing Regrowth PvP with another PvP pack, such as the one I mentioned on the new packs thread. PvP is probably better on a kitchen sinkish pack with mods that make the early game a breeze (Mekanism and that beautiful Digital Miner ) and any HQM pack doesn't really fit the PvP style since it lays focus on something other than survival.
Cough... Trident...cough And no to kitchen sink packs because people can be come god like in those and have no damge taken and one shot anyone.... a pack built for PVP is the best bet.... Trident is your best best
My biggest problem with Trident is that it has no magic mods and that Flan's is completely underpowered. I played on a server for a few days when it came out and the only relevant form of combat was powersuits. It's pretty limited in terms of combat since Flan's is irrelevant and there aren't really any other combat mods in the game.
Thats why you disable power suits and make it a fun pack. I personally could build maps from counter strike, COD and BF. Then have a war based on kills/deaths. If something is under powered.... either buff it to be in line with others or remove the items that surpass it. The reason it doesnt have magic mods... is well magic mods are too strong for a PvP environment... there is no balance. You could take Trident, edit the list a bit and make it a GGO( gun gale online) server.... I have been talking to friends about making something similar but most are too busy with work to do it. Here is the idea... You have the overworld where people live, make a base, have towns were people can go and trade/ chat with eachother... local chat only. Then daily or every otherday the mods/admin hold tourny's on pre built maps and worlds.... have like a Jungle, forest, desert, city...ect pre built arenas where players can either play to last man standing or most kills in x time. Then the server track the numbers and in the "main" town/spawn have there name and ranks on boards. You/we could make an epic server based solely around flan's gun mod and nothing else.... The rest of the mods just give players something to do.... when there isnt a tourny. You could also use the pvp arena plug in that assigns kits with certain guns and armors for MyMs.... Lets say a desert eagle is 100, ammo is 25, leather armor 100, potions 25 each...ect. You could make a Gun MMO in minecraft. People need to stop thinking inside the "box" with packs... just because a pack doesnt have 200+ mods, doesnt mean it cant be fun. I have many ideas based on the Trident pack.... Air battles with planes... monthly full blown wars... Daily kit arenas based on economy... The possibility are endless
I mean something like that could be done on a regular server. Anyone who wants to participate can go to the arena and turn on PvP when the game starts. No need to make a separate server for something like that.
