    there is no "takes a single can out" its 1 can inserted <time passes> multiple cans removed. which means its something that extra utils or thermal expansion is doing.

    I made the exact copy on my test world and afked there about 7 hours , but the reinforced watering can was still there.
    I have made something like that in the server with reinforced watering can but still nothing happen.
