He then remembered that the passwords to the computers were reset every month for security reasons. He called his boss for his new password. The man said, "Boss, my old password is out of date." The boss said, "Yes, it is. The new password is different, but if you listen closely you will be able to figure out the new one. Your new password has the same amount of letters as the old one, and four of the letters are the same." The man then logged into his computer with no trouble. What was the new password? What was his old?
the old one is something along the lines of different, but this is one of the interactive riddles, but i am guessing a preposition along those lines due to the nuances of english
Old: out of date. new: diffrent Riddle: Julia went to the market and bought 3 bags of fruit. 1 bag has 10 apples, 1 has 10 pears and 1 has 5 apples + 5 pears. The seller put stickers on each bag. Sadly he was having a bad day and mixed them all up so that not even one is placed right. Julia knows this fact. How many fruits does she minimum have to take out of one or more bags to put the stickers in the right order. a) 1 b) 2 c) 3 d) 6 e) 12 hint: minimal is very important here
We only need to take out 1 fruit. Since we know that none of the labels are correct, we start by taking 1 fruit from the bag labelled "Apples and Pears", which I shall call "Bag 1", for no real reason. This bag cannot be the mixed bag, so must be the type of the first selected fruit, which shall henceforth be known as "X". The other fruit type shall be called "Y" for simplicity's sake. We move the label for X to Bag 1, then move the sticker from the bag labelled "Y", or Bag 2, to the unlabelled bag, before moving the mixed label to Bag 2. Our stickers are now correct, with only 1 contaminated fruit, although it would be much easier to just look inside the bag. Riddle: An empty space is full of me. What am I?
