    So is this a discussion of which one then?
    • Pure vanilla/thaumcraft/addons
    • The entire pack
    Pick one or the other and stop cherry picking your arguments from both.

    I didn't bring that up, but if we've got ALL these mods in DW20 and we're getting this little ordo, and you're going to use that almost all instantly up in easy mode, and still need more, more more, thaumcraft was balanced around normal, not easy mode

    You get enough aspects from vanilla and thaumcraft alone to get all the pure thaumcraft research. Like I said, prove me wrong. Do you have a list of all the items in the pack we are talking about and their aspect value? Do you have a list of aspects required to research all the thaumcraft?

    Dunno how balanced this is, feel free to suggest alternatives/alterations.. but basically the gist of this thread seems to be most people like easy mode but don't want to grind too much to get RP to use it.. so providing a simple way to reliably get RP seems like the best solution: add crafting recipe(s) for knowledge fragments e.g.
    Shapeless: 1 paper + scribing tools (1 point of durability) = 2 knowledge fragments
    Code:
    recipes.addShapeless(<Thaumcraft:ItemResource:9> * 2, [<Thaumcraft:ItemInkwell>.onlyDamageAtMost(98).transformDamage(), <minecraft:paper>]);
    Shaped Cross: 4 paper + scribing tools (4 points of durability) = 9 knowledge fragments (1 bonus)
    Code:
    recipes.addShaped(<Thaumcraft:ItemResource:9> * 9,
    [[null, <minecraft:paper>, null],
    [<minecraft:paper>, <Thaumcraft:ItemInkwell>.onlyDamageAtMost(95).transformDamage(4), <minecraft:paper>],
    [null, <minecraft:paper>, null]]);
    Shaped Ring: 8 paper + scribing tools (8 points of durability) = 18 knowledge fragments (2 bonus)
    Code:
    recipes.addShaped(<Thaumcraft:ItemResource:9> * 20,
    [[<minecraft:paper>, <minecraft:paper>, <minecraft:paper>],
    [<minecraft:paper>, <Thaumcraft:ItemInkwell>.onlyDamageAtMost(91).transformDamage(8), <minecraft:paper>],
    [<minecraft:paper>, <minecraft:paper>, <minecraft:paper>]]);
    Then all you need is a simple paper farm and a decent supply of ink and you have an unlimited source of primal RP ;)

    @chugga_fan i got 300 ordo once by scanning a feed hungry node. Try scanning nodes after you grow them.

    I really don't see all the fuss, deconstruction table always works fine for my aspect needs.
